482.01 Driveway aprons.

1482.01 DRIVEWAY APRONS.
a. No residential driveway shall be installed or replaced without provisions for a hard surface apron constructed of either asphalt or concrete and an adequate culvert pipe and appropriate grading to insure proper surface water drainage, all as approved by the Village's Building Department in accordance with standards established by the Village Engineer. The apron of a driveway shall be considered as that portion of the driveway within the street right-of-way.
b. The hard surface requirements set forth in subsection (a) hereof may be delayed due to seasonal or inclement weather conditions upon written request to the Building Department and upon the deposit of a bond in a form and amount acceptable to said department to insure timely completion of the installation. In the event timely completion is not accomplished, said bond may be forfeited to the Village, after reasonable notice to the depositor and an opportunity for the depositor to be heard thereon, in order to permit the Village to complete such installation.
c. Installation of driveway aprons as set forth herein are further subject to the requirements set forth in Chapter 1010 of these Codified Ordinances.
