Chagrin Lakes is located just southwest of the Bell Road/ Chillicothe Road intersection off Bell Road. An entrance to the development is also accessible off Chillicothe Road near the South Russell/ Bainbridge Corporation line. Another lake community, Chagrin Lakes has seven private lakes within its development, one being designated as its main recreational area.
First plotted was the Parkland Estates on November 1, 1965 that included Royal Oak Drive, a portion of Maple Springs Drive and the recreation area.
The second plot on July 29, 1967 included Sheerbrook Drive off Chillicothe Road.
On March 12, 1968, Parkland Drive and the remainder of Maple Springs were plotted.
The remainder of Sheerbrook Drive was plotted on December 12, 1968.
The roads in Chagrin Lakes include Sheerbrook Drive, Maple Springs Drive, Royal Oak Drive and Parkland Drive and were dedicated as village roads on June 9, 1969.
There are 111 homes in the Chagrin Lakes.
Voting is in Precinct C located at Gurney School.
