Deerfield Estates is located in the Rolling Ridge Colony subdivision. It is the cul-de-sac area at the end of Deerfield Drive.
On August 1, 1957 plot IV that is Deerfield Drive was accepted. This is only the west end of Deerfield Drive (just off Daisy Lane) and not the cul-de-sac.
On January 18, 1961, Deerfield Drive was dedicated as village roads.
In 1989, Deerfield Estates that includes the lots on the cul-de-sac was developed. The four lots were purchased in 1997 and four homes were built between 1997 and 2000.
Voting is in Precinct C that is located at Gurney School.
Geauga County sanitary sewers service this area but all homes are currently on wells.
