David M. Ondrey is a principal in Thrasher, Dinsmore and Dolan, Geauga County's oldest operating law firm. He was admitted to practice law in 1980 and began doing municipal work shortly thereafter. He has been the law firm's principal representative to the Village since 1998, following a succession of the firm's attorneys who have acted as the Village's Solicitor since the 1960's. Ondrey is also Solicitor for Burton Village. He was listed as one of Northeast Ohio's "leading lawyers" in both 2002 and 2003 by "Inside Business" magazine and as one of Ohio's "super lawyers" in a recent "Cincinnati Magazine" article. He is also a civil litigator and practices heavily in labor and employment matters on behalf of several leading Geauga County employers.
Ondrey is one of 10 lawyers at the Chardon firm which performs legal services in virtually every type of civil and criminal matters, including, of course, the Cleveland Indians, which principal Larry Dolan now owns. Ondrey, born on October 12, 1951in Cleveland, Ohio, resides in Chardon with his wife Ellen and their three children. A graduate of Orange High School, Ondrey is pleased to have a role with the finest of the Chagrin Valley communities.
